Kenya is among three countries where women smallholder farmers are set to benefit from Sh1.3 billion (USD15.5 million) funding to improve food production. The partnership programme between Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) and The MasterCard Foundation, is designed to improve the productivity and income of almost 730,000 smallholder farmers in Kenya, Ghana and Tanzania. The programme will help improve markets, soils and access to high-yield crop varieties for the smallholder farmers in the regions.
