The holiday season is nigh and generally, October is a fun-filled month as party lovers have the Octoberfest. Scary, spooky persons have their time this particular month as Halloween gives nothing but that.

That aside, developers have been going bonkers as far as video games are concerned and here we pick what we believe are the hottest picks for this month that you should check out.

FIFA 22

FIFA is back to score more goals with their new installation. There are some additions which should make this the most authentic and realistic FIFA game yet.

Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S get to experience new HyperMotion gameplay technology which allows advanced 11 vs 11 match capture. A first for FIFA, which means player and ball movement will be much more dynamic than ever before and better replicate real-life situations.

FIFA 22 includes over 4,000 new animations to raise the footballing intensity, responsiveness, and physicality of every player in the game.

Far Cry 6

This action-adventure first-person shooter game takes place on the fictional Caribbean island of Yara and the player takes the role of a local Yaran named Dani Rojas, a former officer in the Yaran armed forces turned guerrilla soldier fighting for freedom who attempts to restore their nation to its former glory.

The land is ruled by an iron-fisted dictator, Anton Castilla. You are required to liberate the land by starting guerilla warfare with an arsenal of weapons and allies to take over from Castillo before he hands over the empire to his son who is set to succeed him.

Metroid Dread

This is an action-adventure game in which players join the intergalactic c bounty hunter Samus Aran as she explores the planet ZDR.

You are set to investigate a mysterious transmission sent to the Galactic Federation which has been overrun by vicious alien lifeforms and chilling mechanical menaces and your powers increase as you manoeuvre and conquer challenges.

Back 4 Blood

This multiplayer first-person shooter game has been considered the spiritual successor to left 4 dead. The gameplay is quite similar in the two but the new update comes with a new feature of cards. The game takes place after a worldwide outbreak caused by a newly discovered parasite. Most of humanity has been affected and now you come in as a cleaner to fight the zombies.

Based on Marvel Comics' Guardians of the Galaxy comic book series, this game is an action-adventure game where one assumes control of Peter Quill from a third-person perspective. The player can utilise Star-Lord's elemental gun to defeat enemies, and fly through the air using his jet boots. Other characters with special powers include Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Drax the Destroyer but they are not directly playable as they are controlled by artificial intelligence, but players can issue commands to them during combat

The game takes place several years after a massive interstellar war that left its mark on the universe, which is still dealing with its devastating consequences.
