Tanzanian musician Ali Kiba. [Wilberforce Okwiri, Standard]

Tanzanian singer and Bongo sensation Ali Kiba on Friday hosted an exclusive listening party at The Trademark Hotel, Village Market, ahead of his third album launch ‘Only one King’.

Attended by fellow artistes, the media fraternity, and leaders from the political class, the event attracted a good crowd.

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho was among those who attended the event.

Nameless and Wahu, DJ Slahver, Tanasha Donna, Naiboi, DJ Pierra Makena, Nviiri the Storyteller, Cedo, Buddha Blaze, Bensoul, Producer Paulo, Eric One Wash, Chris the Bass, Billy Miya, Dr. Eddie, KRG the Don, Nicah the Queen and Naava the Queen were among the many artistes in attendance.

Hosted by Jamal Gadaffi alongside Bashka Hajji Zeid, Ali Kiba was hailed for his longevity in the music industry as well as his ability to always produce timeless songs.

The album, which has 16 songs, features a good number of artistes with Kenyan collaborations from Nyashinski, Sauti Sol and Khaligraph Jones.

Other celebrated African artistes on the album include Tanzania's K2Ga, Abdu Kiba & Tommy Flavour, Nigeria's Patoranking, RudeBoy & Mayorkun, Ghanaian Sarkodie and South African hitmakers Blaq Diamond.

This is his second listening party after holding one in Dar-es-Salaam that saw a host of musicians including Patoranking, Nandi, AY, Ommy Dimpoz in attendance.

Notably absent from the glamorous event was King Kiba’s wife Amina Khalef who could not make it as she is busy taking care of their newborn.

While showing support for her husband, she wrote a sweet message for him on Instagram.

“If you can visualize it, You can realize it. Congratulations Papa Bear?? @officialalikiba ???? Track no.3 “TAMBA” Got me so emotional #OnlyOneKing” shared Amina.
