The much-anticipated AFRIMMA awards ceremony is set to go down on October 26 and 27 in Dallas, Texas.

AFRIMMA’s mission is to ‘provide a platform for African Musicians to gain recognition for their unique talents and achievements.’ It is no doubt that Kenya really talented artists who keep popping up on the nominees list of the prestigious awards.

In the past, we have seen Kenyans take home the coveted awards in various categories. For instance, last year, Khaligrah Jones won the Best Rap Act of the Year, while Papa Dennis won Best Gospel Artiste of the Year.

This year, we have several Kenyan artistes who are battling out with some big names in the industries. Nyashinski, for instance, will battle out with Diamond Platnumz, Alikiba, Harmonize, Juma Jux, Ommy Dimpoz, Rayvanny, Khaligraph Jones, Eddy Kenzo and The Ben for the ‘Best Male Artiste in East Africa.’

Best Live Act- Sauti Sol

Best Rap Act- Khaligraph Jones

Best Video Director- Enos Olik

Best African Dj USA- Dj Fully Focus, Dj Shinski, Dj Poizon Ivy

Radio/Tv Personality of The Year- Willy Tuva, Jamal Gaddafi
