Kenyan rapper Nyashinski, real name Nyamari Ongegu, has a new admirer in former Citizen TV anchor Kirigo Ng'arua.
Commenting on a picture of Nyashinski in a meeting at the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) alongside half a dozen other artistes, Ng'arua posed whether the Mungu Pekee hitmaker was single.
In a sleek move, she asked Sauti Sol’s Bien-Aime Baraza if he could hook her up with the chart-topping rapper who reinvented himself to the world stage after a stellar career with defunct Kleptomaniax music group and a stint in the United States.
“Bien-Aime huyo beshte yako Nyashinski huwa single ama? Nipatie thru pass,” wrote Ng'arua to laughter from veteran pop star David Mathenge better known as Nameless.
The humour of it all did not end there, despite the 30 likes and splash of emojis including a tag to controversial gospel singer Ringtone Apoko, who, coincidentally, is looking for a wife.
“Terryanne Chebet please, I thought you told me it is shoot your shot season no?” Added the personality.
According to Size 8 (Linet Munyali), the meeting with Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) Director General Francis Wangusi was on how the music industry can move forward.
“Yesterday at the Communication Authority of Kenya offices we met Mr. Francis Wangusi, the Director-General of CA and we had a discussion on the Local music industry and one key topic was how best we can increase local music airplay from all Kenyan musicians on media stations in this great nation,” she wrote.
In attendance also was Starehe MP Charles Kanyi (Jaguar), Daddy Owen, Bahati, Gabu and Otile Brown among others.
