Mt Kenya East leaders want the constitutional amendment through the Building Bridges Initiative to entrench the appointment of a Cabinet Secretary or a Principal Secretary from each of the 47 counties.

Governors Kiraitu Murungi (Meru), Martin Wambora (Embu) and Muthomi Njuki (Tharakanithi), Senators and MPs from the region came to the agreement during a meeting at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.
