NAIROBI, KENYA: Kenya registered a 6.3 per cent growth in the economy last year from 4.9 per cent in 2017.

The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) has termed the growth as a broad-based with nearly all the sectors registering improved performance.

2017 growth was dampened by a long dry spell, protracted electioneering period and poor credit to the private sector.
