Swansea boss Paul Clement has confirmed that the club will make an approach for Chelsea captain John Terry this summer.

The Chelsea playmaker is set to leave Stamford Bridge after a 22-year spell at the club.

Bournemouth are also believed to be leading the race for Terry after making a bold approach in January.

But it now seems that Swansea are also ready to bid for the lethal center back.

“The fact is I know John, he is a top player and a free agent.

“So it would only be sensible to have a discussion with him to see if he would be interested.

“I don’t know if he has already decided on somewhere else. A lot of the time these things are already done.

“But if that is not the case and he would be open to a conversation, then I would be open to that as well,” said Swansea coach Paul Clement.
