CONDOLENCE messages pour IN: Heart wrenching words said as Kenya mourns fallen athletics hero

Kenyans continued to pour messages of condolence to the departed and long-serving Athletics Kenya President Isaiah Kiplagat who passed away on Wednesday morning after a long illness.

In a message sent by the national athletics federation to the newsroom on Wednesday evening, Athletics Kenya wrote: “We have learnt with deep sorrow the passing-on of Mr Isaiah F.

Kiplagat, former President of Athletics Kenya. Mr Kiplagat was a great leader, mentor and advisor. He extended his wealth of knowledge and experience in athletics to various athletics federations.

We shall always remember him as an advocate and promoter of athletics not only in Kenya but also in Eastern Region, Africa and the world at large.

On behalf of Athletics Kenya Federation and the entire Athletics fraternity, we wish to convey our sincere condolences to the family, relatives and friends during this time of grief. May his soul rest in eternal peace”
