Schools in Murang’a get Sh149 million for infrastructure

Ninety five secondary schools in Murang’a have received Sh149.5 million from the Ministry of Education for infrastructure expansion.

 Most schools will receive Sh1 million except for big schools, which qualify for Sh24 million.

The money will be used to construct classrooms and laboratories. Head of the institutions have been directed to notify their board of management and use government procurement systems with county directors of education to supervising the multi-million shillings projects.

Murang’a county commissioner John Elungata warned the principals to ensure they use the resources effectively.
