‘Driving drunk woo… I’ll be dead thanks to you’: Woman’s chilling text to boyfriend before fatal crash

A woman accused of causing a deadly car crash text her boyfriend saying: 'Driving drunk woo... I'll be dead thanks to you', police said.

Driver Mila Dago who survived the fatal crash in August, 2013, is awaiting trial for the death of her passenger friend Irina Reinoso in Florida.

Dago, then 22, went out that night while dealing with the break up of her boyfriend, the Miami Herald quotes police records as saying.

During the night, she sent her partner 60 texts, many of them that seem chilling after the crash, police said.

According to the New York Daily News, Dago wrote: "I'm done you ruined me … you'll be the death of me."

She also wrote: "Driving drunk woo... I'll be dead thanks to you."

The messages were sent while Dago was driving a rented Smart Car with tragic victim Irina Reinoso, 22, in the passenger seat, police claim.

Three minutes later at 4.44am, she skipped a red light and collided with a moving pickup truck, it is alleged.

Irina was pronounced dead at the scene and the truck driver, Benjamin Byrum, 51, was knocked unconscious.

Lucky Dago escaped the smash with only bruises but police said she had more than double the legal blood alcohol limit for driving more than two hours after the crash.

Now 24, she pleaded not guilty to two counts of DUI with damage to a person, vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter. No trial date has been set.

Her defence lawyer David Rothman said in a statement: "Ms. Dago, who, with her family, prays every day for the young woman who passed and her family, believes it is disrespectful to the young woman's family to publicly comment."

Irina's mother Ivania told the Miami Herald: "She was very family oriented, had an incredible heart and always had a smile on her face."
