Gareth Bale has admitted that he used to be an Arsenal fan in his first radio interview since joining Real Madrid.

The winger was a guest on popular Cadena Ser show El Larguero (the crossbar) when he made the revelations, but he confessed that he had to suppress those feelings after signing for archrivals Spurs.

"I used to like Arsenal a lot," Bale laughed. "But when I moved to Tottenham of course I liked them less - but I really admired Thierry Henry and Patrick Viera, those kind of players. They were incredible."

It's like Harry Kane all over again!

Among his other revelations in a very stop-start interview, conducted through an interpreter were:

Bale reckons he'd beat Ronaldo in a foot race.

The Welshman denied claims that he is a 'ball-hog'.

Gareth declared that Madrid does not smell of garlic, despite Victoria Beckham's claims.

He denied he is interested in a move to Manchester United.
