The directive follows an investigation and recommendation by Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission.

The charges are in connection with a 25-acre piece of public land located in Njambini  in Nyandarua County, which was part of a 75-acre land belonging to Ministry of Agriculture preserved for potatoes seed multiplication project.

Kimunya is alleged to have caused the land to be allocated to M/s Midlands Limited when he was the Minister for Lands without consent from the Ministry of Agriculture.
