Italy's Supreme Court rules public masturbation not a crime

Public masturbation has been declared legal in Italy by the Italian Supreme court. The court ruled that the action is not a crime as long as it is not done in the presence of minors.

This comes after a 69-year-old man identified as PL, was convicted for masturbating in front of students at the university of Catania campus. Judges ruled that if masturbation is done in public in the presence of minors, the criminal code calls for up to 4 and a half years imprisonment.
