A woman and a man accused of drugging and stealing valuables and Sh700,000 from a businessman were recently charged before Shanzu Law Courts in Kilifi County. Stella Nyaboke and Daniel Yuyo are accused of stupefying Christopher Ombaso Oyaro in October last year in Shanzu, jointly with others not before the court, with the intent to steal from him.
The accused were charged in Shanzu for drugging a businessman and stealing Sh375,000 and 10 mobile phones valued at Sh325,000.
According to a charge sheet, the accused, with others not before the court, stole a Samsung galaxy59 valued at Sh95,000, two Samsung galaxy A12S valued at Sh35,000, and eight Nokia E71 valued at Sh195,000.
The suspects later proceeded to withdraw Sh375,000 from the victim's account. The two denied the charges before Shanzu magistrate Yusuf Shikanda.
They were each released on a Sh2 million bond or a cash bail of Sh1 million each.
