This shower that recycles its own water through a system that filters out particulate matter and microbes from drain water and then sends it back through the head. This system cuts water consumption by up to 95 per cent and also dramatically cuts energy costs by 80 per cent since the water retains its heat through the recycling process so you are not pouring hot water down the drain. A smartphone app keeps track of the water and power savings on an ongoing basis and reminds you when to change capsules for the purification system - usually once a year. According to tests conducted by the Swedish Institute for Communicable Disease Control, the water has been found to be actually cleaner after being recycled than when it first comes out of the tap. It costs about Sh500,000.
