A mum has sparked a heated debate online about how often you're supposed to wear panty liners.
She wrote that her friend called her "manky" for not wearing them every day, like she does.
The issue has divided women, as some think her friend must be "scared of her own vagina" for wearing them all the time.
Posting on Mumsnet forum, she said: "Tbh this is a complete new one for me. Was having a conversation with a friend yesterday who wears panty liners every day and has done since she was 15.
"I'd never heard of this before and told her so. She told me I was a manky minge and that everybody wore them. Is this true? Thoughts please ...."
The post received over 800 replies from people with strong views on the matter.
Many agreed with the original poster, saying that they don't wear panty liners daily either.
Some were shocked that people do, with one person commenting: "Waste of money, bad for the environment. Why would you?"
Another said: "God, I can't imagine being so scared of my vagina I'd need to wear panty liners every day".
Others claimed they also know people with the same attitude as the woman's friend.
One said: "[Mother-in-law] does and thinks its repellent that by the end of the day a woman's pants might smell as though they've been worn. I think its madness."
People were quick to point out that not every woman is the same, so there might be a reason some people need to wear them more often than others - so it's completely up to the individual.
One commented: "Some women need them every day. Others don't. Some women don't realise other women don't have the same experience as them."
Another added: "Maybe some people are moister than others. I don't wear scented ones but I do wear them daily."
A third said: "If I didn't, I would never be able to laugh or sneeze without consequences."
