Today we make split chickpeas (chana dal) curry.
Ingredients:
250g split chickpeas
300ml thick coconut milk
Salt to taste
1 onion, sliced
1 tomato, cubed
3 whole green chillies
Chopped fresh coriander
1 teaspoon curry powder
Method:
Boil the chickpeas with water (add salt to taste) until soft.
Once the lentils are cooked, add the onions, chillies, curry powder, coriander and tomato.
Cook until there is little or no water left and the mixture is thick.
Now add the coconut milk and water and simmer until the tomatoes are well cooked.
You can blend your dish or leave it whole, like I did.
Serve with rice or chapati. Enjoy!
