Lil Wayne dropped a huge bombshell on fans this week as he hinted he may be retiring from music.
The rapper - who has had both health issues and problems with his Cash Money record label - described himself as "mentally defeated" in tweets posted early on Saturday morning, saying that he would "leave gracefully" as he praised his fans.
He wrote:
However, after worried and supportive tweets from fans and fellow stars, Wayne later took to twitter to reassure all the well-wishers.
I'm good y'all don't trip," he tweeted.
Since 2012, the rapper has suffered from seizures, including a number of attacks over the summer.
Meanwhile, he is still embroiled in a two-year battle with record label Cash Money, with the star seeking the release of his album Tha Carter V, or a release from his contract.
When a fan reached out to Rick Ross asking him to buy out Wayne's contract, he referred to the company's boss and said: "Get Birdman on the phone."
Other stars reached out, including Missy Elliot, who replied: "Prayers up 4 whatever u may be enduring right now this to will pass & may u find PEACE... I will always be a fan of your work (sic)"
