
Blankets and wine has been the show that revolutionized the chilled out, outdoor music experience for Kenyan urbanites. The show that has been on for close to 6 years now, has gone quarterly as opposed to monthly in the preceding events.
The founder Muthoni Ndong’a better known for her stage name Muthoni Drummer Queen, said the move was to be able to give more quality shows with award winning artistes and increase the musical experience for the revelers.
The second show of the year took place on Sunday, with the headlining act being Estelle a Grammy award winner based in the US. Other artistes on the line-up included Jarel, Sage and MDQ herself. The first show of the year hosted Aloe Blac famed for his hit track, I’m the man.
A collaborative fashion show with Nivea punctuated the music lineup. Three Kenyan fashion designers, Afrostreet Kollections, Vivo Active wear and Wambui Mukenyi, showcased their black and white collections on the runway, in line with Nivea’s invisible deodorant
