Police from Buruburu Police Station are investigating theft claims involving two alleged lovers who are ardent followers of the ‘Green Army’ outfit that boasts allegiance to Gor Mahia. The whole circus kicked off on Monday, November 9, when Vincentos Omollos, a Gor fan, took to the club’s official fans forum on Facebook detailing how a female friend, also an ardent Gor fan, had allegedly robbed him, claims the said woman has denied.

According to Omollos, the woman, Ephy Nabulungi, whose photo appeared on the Facebook post, had visited him on Wednesday, November 4, after watching Gor beat Tusker FC in the KPL Top 8 semifinal match played at Nyayo Stadium.

“Ephy Nabulungi called me asking for bus fare back to Kisumu. I told her that I had no cash on me, but I could get some from the house,” narrated Omollos, adding that he was in the company of his wife at the time.

The two reportedly left Nyayo Stadium at night for Umoja estate in Nairobi where Omollos reportedly lives. Omollos claims that Ephy had no problem spending the night at his place.

The night went on smoothly till the following day on Thursday morning when Omollos reportedly left Ephy still sleeping in his house as he left for work. Omollo claims he left Ephy in the house with specific instructions on where to keep the house keys upon leaving.

“This is not the first time she is coming to me for help. She is fond of asking me for cash whenever Gor plays in Nairobi. On that night, she wanted Sh1,500 from me, claiming she only uses a particular bus company which charges slightly higher than other buses. I only had Sh1,200 which I gave her and asked her to lock the door,” claims Omollos.

On returning home later in the evening, Omollos claims he was shocked to find some of his household goods and shopping missing from the kitchen.

“She is a petty thief. I regret hosting her in good faith. I had to post this incident on social media so that the whole world can see her true colours. She stole a number of household stuff, but what hurt me most was that she also took my wife’s kitenge that we got from Lagos, Nigeria and my designer cologne ‘David Beckham The Essence Eau de Toilette Spray for Men.’

But when The Nairobian contacted Ephy, she dismissed Omollos’ theft allegations as mere rumours and malice because of an apparent fallout between them. Ephy claims she was not shocked that Omollos was “out to taint her name” and promised to fight back and reveal details of their sexual escapades. “I have not stolen anything from him at all,” said Ephy.

“We have been together for so long that I see no need of stealing from him now. If I start talking now, I will leave him with more damage than what he thinks he has done to me. How come he did not tell you about the sexual favours from me?” posed Ephy.

As Ephy fought hard to clear her name from the allegations, the police at Buruburu Police Station where Omollos reported the matter are hunting looking for her to record a statement.
