Many men do not like it when their women wear wigs and weaves. Unfortunately, these handy alternatives are not about to disappear. Instead, they are getting more complex. That is why lace front wigs have become popular as women realise that it is a great fashion accessory. Celebrity women who wear lace front wigs include, Oprah, Tyra Banks and Beyonce, just to name a few. When applied correctly, they are versatile and virtually undetectable.
A lace wig is just like any other wig. It is called a lace wig because of the way it is made. The hair is knotted on a sheer lace cap. When you wear it and you part your hair, the wig looks very natural, like the hair is growing from the scalp. It is therefore better and looks more natural than ordinary wigs. Once you wear them, they create a flawless, natural and invisible hairline. They are made using synthetic hair or real human hair.
A lace front wig has a lace base only at the front while the rest of the wig looks like regular wig. Since it only has lace at the front, it can only be worn loose at the back; you can't tie a high pony tail since the wefts at the back of the wig would be visible. Lace front wigs are fabulous because they give the impression that the hair is growing from one's natural fringe line. Their design is such that you are able style your hair away from your face.
The good thing about these wigs is that they are easy to install. You can use them as daily wear or for extended wear depending on how you attached them using glue or hairpins. They also look like natural hair with gradual transition from sparsely spread thin hair to densely spread thick hair.
Another advantage of the lace front wig made from human hair is that they can be curled, braided or even twisted and you can create an assortment of looks from one wig. However, they are easily damaged since the lace scalp and the strands of hair are very delicate. It also requires regular maintenance especially if it is worn regularly.
