Four school children who survived a road accident in Bungoma have been air lifted to Nairobi for specialised treatment. Nine children have since died following the accident, which took place on Friday evening at Marakharu area along the Bungoma-Chwele road. President Mwai Kibaki has condoled families of the pupils who perished in the road accident. President Kibaki has called for vigilance on the roads and rooting out of unroadworthy vehicles to avoid unnecessary loss of life through road carnage.
