1,500 people who were laid off at the Kenya Jatropha energy limited are appealing to the government to allow an Italian investor embark on the multibillion bio fuel project. The local residents from Mulunguni in Magarini district, Kilifi county said they were now depending on charcoal burning which has since been banned in the area.
