The idea that for every man there are roughly four women has been disabused by yesterday’s census results. The latest figures put the number of women almost at par with men, giving a ratio of one-to-one. This goes against a perception widely-held by men that they are spoilt for choice with many fish in the sea. Ktn’s Macharia Maina looks at how Kenyans are taking the news of the tiny gender gap.
