If you are attending a job interview then you must ensure you give yourself the best chance of success.
You will certainly have to brush up on any questions you may be asked on your experience and qualifications for the job.
But what may put you ahead of the next applicant who is equally qualified and able is the first impression you make by your grooming and style. You need to be sensitive to the job — your dressing should be appropriate for the job you are aiming at. One standard tip is to avoid extremes — do not outdo the interviewer; always aim for neat but neutral. As for scents, smell fresh but do not use strong fragrances. Remember that for an interview, less is more.
What not to wear on a job interview
• Flashy strapped heels.
• Underwear (bras, bra straps) that is visible. Do not wear any underwear that shows — even if your bra straps match your top.
• Jeans.
• Skirts or dresses that are too short.
• Low rise or tight pants- make sure the top of your thong, if you wear one, doesn't show above your pants.
• Blouses that are too low cut or too short — don't show your cleavage or your belly.
