Sending a message to a wrong number can really ruin your day.

Especially if it’s your parents and you're giving them information that you didn't really plan too.

It's an easy mistake to make if you've had a few drinks or are distracted - as it appears this woman might have been.

On TikTok, user Avemay shared her parents' furious responses after she accidentally messaged them.

It's fair to say that they really weren't impressed by the content of the message.

In fact, it's possible that they're currently driving to her university to pick her up and bring her home.

Her video describing what has happened has gone viral, with nearly 500,000 views.

Avemay captioned the hilarious clip: "The most awkward morning of my life."

The screen shows a groupchat filled with Avemay, her mum and her dad.

She wrote: "When you text the family groupchat for ~permission to hu[hookup] with a boy~ when you're blackout."

In it, she messaged: "I'm bout to hook up with this kid. Is it fine."

The uni student shared the hilarious moment on TikTok

Her parents immediately responded with her mum blasting: "What?? Avery BEHAVE!! Were you hacked?"

Her dad added: "Huuuuuh. Whatttt? Kidddding. Not Funny. ????"

Avery mistakenly responded: "Did u leave?" before catching on and adding: "Sorry wrong person."

Lots of people sympathised in the comments, with one woman advising: "Girl just say it was a prank!!"

Another joked: "I would simply pass away," while one asked: "Why didn't you just say you were kidding?"

A third person said: "I always say its for a prank on Twitter when this happened."

Another embarrassing experience went viral on TikTok this week, which left many crying with laughter.

Dancer Dominic Charles shard a hilarious video of the moment his dance routine went very, very wrong.

The performer, in Miami, left diners shocked after he jumped on a table during a routine, only for it to collapse and scatter glass and broken tableware across the floor.

One commented to say: “THIS IS SO FUNNY, I can’t stop watching,” while another added: “I am SCREAMING, he just carries the show on, what an absolute diamond..”
