When Meghan Markle stood in St George's Chapel and said her wedding vows, she became a princess and started her royal duty.

Before taking up the role of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan had a successful career including a lead role on the legal drama Suits.

She also ran her popular lifestyle The Tig, which had thousands of loyal followers, and spoke and campaigned for causes close to her heart.

Unlike the royal family, who have to remain quiet on key issues, Meghan was never afraid to speak her mind and share her views in her interviews - and she even made a comment about princesses.

Like everyone else in the world, Meghan couldn't escape royal wedding fever back when Kate Middleton married Prince William.

Three years later, she chatted about the celebration during an interview with Princess Alia Al-Senussi, a descendant of Libyan royalty.

She wrote: "Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power.

"For those of you unfamiliar with the '80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man, and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength. We're definitely not talking about Cinderella here."

But she went on to discuss how this fascination with princesses doesn't end when children grow up.

She writes: "Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate."

Who would have thought that just a few years later she herself would be planning her own royal wedding after falling in love with a prince.

And there would be endless conversations about Princess Meghan.

There have been countless rumours of a fallout between Meghan and Kate, which have been further fueled by the publication of a new book about the Sussexes.

In their biography Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claim the two royal women had a strained relationship from the start.

They say it wasn't a falling out as such, more that they were never close as they were very different.

Harry introduced his then girlfriend Meghan to his brother and Kate at Kensington Palace a few months into their relationship.

However the book says that Kate is an "extremely guarded person" who keeps a very tight group of friends.

But Kate's daughter Charlotte helped to ease the tension between the women due to Meghan's "adoration" of the little Princess.

What could you talk for 30 minutes about with absolutely no preparation?
