Rapper Nicki Minaj has announced that she is expecting her first child in a series of posts on her Instagram.
She captioned one of the photos “Preggers” before thanking her fans for all their support.
“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.”
Minaj, 37, married hubby Kenneth Petty, 42, in October 2019. It has been reported that the couple have known each other since their childhood.
In a recent interview with fellow rapper Lil Wayne, Minaj gushed about how much she was enjoying married life.
“I didn’t think it would be as refreshing and calming as it is...when you have someone that feels like your soulmate or someone who understands you, it just makes you feel like you’re on top of the world,” she said.
Minaj sparked rumours that she was pregnant when, while hosting a Twitter Q&A in May, she made a list of foods that she had been craving, adding, “No throwing up. But nausea and peeing non stop. Omg what do u think this means guys???? Lmaooooooooooo."
This will be Minaj and Petty’s first child together.
