Actress Catherine Kamau prefers staying away from her husband for seven days to him following her around for a month.
In a sit down with Showmax, the "Sue na Jonnie" actress explained why her husband, Phill Karanja, who is also an actor, wouldn’t get a chance to cling to her for 30 straight days.
“Why would he follow me?,” answered Kamau after being asked whether she would rather not see her husband for a week or have him follow her everywhere she goes for a month.
“I would die. He knows that one of my characters is that I don’t like clingy people. I will just collapse and die if he follows me.”
Kamau also preferred having her character in a TV show die rather than be written off.
Why? Her ego wouldn’t let her.
“My ego is too big I can’t be written off, I will beg for another chance then leave at the highest point,” she said.
On choosing between someone pestering her on social media or hearing an ugly rumor about herself, Kamua chose the latter over the former.
“Slide to my DM anytime. I hate rumors,” she said. “People tend to believe them these days.”
