Kanze Dena’s baby sister comes third in Miss Universe Kenya 2018

Wabaiya Kariuki was crowned the new Miss Universe Kenya 2018 in a beauty pageant that was held at the Sankara Hotel, Nairobi on Sunday November 4th.

She will proceed to fly the Kenyan flag high in Thailand where Miss Universe 2018 pageant will be held. It will be the 67th Miss Universe pageant and be held on December 17, 2018, in Bangkok, Thailand. Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Miss Kariuki faced stiff competition from Michelle Opiyo and Elsie Stephen who emerged as first and second runners-up respectively.

Taking to social media, Elsie Stephen – Kanze Dena’s 25-year-old sister, posted a photo from the event and captioned it “I live a life of favour! Thank you Lord!”

Elsie, who is a spitting image of her celebrity sister, shared with her fans through an Instagram post how she joined the competitive arena of Miss Universe Kenya.

The beauty who works at Kenya Revenue Authority said she has been putting in a lot of work at the gym so she can emerge victorious at the pageant.
