Quick, easy, healthy back-to-school snacks every parent should try

Healthy break box snacks like fruit and veg sticks are great but for added variety, these simple yet healthy recipes make perfect school snacks that the whole family will love!

1. Homemade cereal bars

Mix together peanut butter and honey in a pot and warm over a low heat until runny. Mix in cereal of choice then pour onto a flat dish lined with parchment paper. You can add toasted oats or coconut flakes and dried fruit for added texture. Press flat and refrigerate then cut into squares.

2. Black bean muffins

Blend together a can of black beans, cocoa powder, honey, oats, Greek yoghurt and baking powder until smooth. Pour into a muffin tray and bake for 18-20 minutes.

3. Apple pancakes

Sauté chopped apple with cinnamon until soft then combine with raisins and add to pancake batter and make stackable mini pancakes.
