Work some kitchen magic with glass jars

Your Home

An organised life saves you so much in money and time. How many times have you spent time rushing to the store to buy something you thought you needed when you actually had it in there somewhere?

They say an organised kitchen is a waste of life, but an organised kitchen keeps pests and rodents away from your home. Plus who doesn't want an A-list kitchen? Here are 4 ways to use glass jars to organise your kitchen.

Flour, pasta and sugar jars

These jars come in different bubble shapes with airtight lids. Label the jars for use with different types of flour, pasta, sugar and rice and have them in one corner. Glass jars are not only perfect for monitoring your reducing levels but they are also green and do not contain the chemicals found in plastics.

Spice rack jars

Why do I need to empty my spices into clear spice jars? You ask, but have you tried to find turmeric from a plethora of opaque spice jars? With glass spice jars you will not have this problem. Store your jars on a spice rack that can be kept in your kitchen shelves or on your countertops.

Mason jars

Mason Jars come in different sizes and they can be used to keep homemade jams, pickles, butters, honey, nuts and other snacks. You can buy mason jars from your local supermarkets or online stockists.

Cereals and grains

Bigger cylindrical glass jars are ideal for keeping your breakfast cereals, beans, lentils and nuts organised. You will need to label your jars if you have two similar products to avoid confusion.
