Ingredients:
450g french beans, ends snipped and washed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
10-12 slices bacon strips
½ cup BBQ sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
You will need:
Toothpicks socked in water
Directions:
In a large cooking pot, boil water with salt, put the french beans and let boil for one minute.
Drain immediately and transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking.
Combine the vegetable oil with black pepper, dry the french beans with paper towels or clean kitchen towel, then toss with the vegetable oil.
Depending on the width of the bacon strip. Slice in into two.
Bundle together 5/6 french beans, wrap with bacon strip, secure with a tooth pick and place on a flat dish, once all are done, brush with BBQ sauce all round and set aside as you prepare your grill, to medium heat.
Grill the bundles for 8-10 minutes turning frequently or until bacon is cooked but not burnt.
Serve warm.
