Perfectly done lips help you stand out given that it does a lot to add form, colour and shine to your face.

There are a range of colours to choose from depending on your skin colour and even your outfit. To achieve the perfect pout that will keep heads turning, follow these simple tips;

Get rid of flaky skin on your lips by brushing them off using a toothbrush.

Moisturize your lips a few minutes before applying lipstick – This can be done with lip balm or petroleum jelly and it acts as the first layer.

Put on a thin layer so that the lipstick does not have a problem sitting. Aside from making your lips soft, it will give your lips a supple look once you have applied the last layer of lipstick.

Lipliner- For those who are fans of lip liners, make sure it is the same colour as your lips.

To give the illusion of thinner lips do not line your lips, instead give more emphasis to other parts of your face like your eyes and choose a neutral/nude shade of lipstick.

For fuller lips, go for a darker shade of lipstick that goes with your complexion. It will highlight the shape and size of your lips.

The maximum amount of layers to apply should be three depending on the type and colour of lipstick. Do not put on too many layers as this will make your lips look and feel chunky.

Apply some shiny lip gloss on the middle of your bottom lip to enhance your pout.

Finally blot your lips with some tissue to rid yourself of any extra layer.
