Evidently one of the most memorable musicians off late, Timmy also known as the “Welle Welle” guy has been making headlines and touring the country for concert performances. Impressively, fans seem to know his music word for word
Born and raised in Nairobi, Timmy attended Mukuru Primary School, then went on to Anointed High School where he pursued his high school education. It was during this time that his interest in music grew as he would often see other people from his hood making it big musically. At some point he tried doing his own music which he admits was not easy at first. “I always knew I would be in a creative industry where I would be dealing with celebrities, but starting out was not an easy task,” he told SDE.
Soon after his high school in 2008, Timmy joined the Regional Centre for tourism and foreign languages where he hoped to expand his lingual skill set. At around this time he also got to produce his first ever music. In between school and music, he decided to pursue his musical career which he resonated to more.
With several singles up his sleeve, it was his hit “Welle Welle” that thrust him into the spotlight. Having worked with Rap Damu of Pacho Entertainment, the two came up brainstormed about what people should be grateful for and came up with the catch phrases “Welle Welle” coined from the word “Well”.
Aside from music, Timmy doubles up as a business man. Recently, he unveiled his new brand of flash discs which he believes shall come in handy for his tech savvy fans.
Relationship wise, he admitted that he is still on the quest to find his ideal partner. In the meantime, he is been working on his “Welle Welle Remix” which is bound to feature other Kenyan stars. With a knack for creativity and determination in music, all eyes are on Timmy as fans wait to see what he unleashes next.
