My beef with VIP cars

Living

What type of car do you drive?

A C class silver mercedes.

What additions have you made to give it a personal touch?

None. I love it the way it is.

What girly stuff do you carry in your car?

Besides it acting like my second office, I always carry a change of clothes and a few pair of shoes.

What do you love about your car?

The fact that it offers me comfort, stability and safety. These are qualities synonymous with German cars as opposed to Japanese ones.

What is your experience like driving in Nairobi roads?

I did my driving lessons on Jogoo Road, which was basically baptism by fire.

After that experience, I can confidently say driving on most Nairobi roads is a walk over or should I say a ‘drive over’?

Which animal are you on the road — a cheetah or a tortoise?

I prefer to play it safe, but at times I am tempted to move like a cheetah especially when I am in a hurry or when the road is clear of traffic.

What is your dream car?

A BMW X6. It is a good work of art.

If you were stranded on a highway with a flat tyre, what would you do?

Being a lady, I am sure there are Good Samaritans who would be kind enough to help.

If I am not lucky enough, I would call AA since I have a cover with them.

If you had the privilege of a siren in your car, what outragoues thing would you do?

I would stop the so-called VIP cars that just squeeze through traffic. I mean we are all going somewhere.

How do you kill time while in traffic?

I listen to my collection of music or to Hot 96 or Capital FM.

What song do you get carried away listening to in your car?

Any song from my collection of neosoul, soft rock, gospel or new jack.

What habit would you not tolerate from people you carry in your car?

Smoking is a definite no-no. I also do not get people who like driving with their hands outside the car window. It is such a bad habit.
