Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce goes toxic as son Maddox testifies against dad

Brad Pitt’s son has testified against him during his acrimonious divorce from Angelina Jolie.

According to reports in the States, student Maddox Pitt, 19, has “already given testimony as [an] adult in the ongoing custody dispute, and it wasn’t very flattering towards Brad”.

One insider added: “He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie.

“Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support.”

Their daughter Shiloh, 14, has also reportedly removed Pitt as her last name on her private Instagram account.

It comes five years after an alleged run-in between Maddox and Pitt was said to have been the final straw for Jolie.

Soon after the couple filed for divorce in 2016, it was revealed the FBI and social services were investigating the Fight Club actor in Los Angeles.

It was said he was “verbally abusive and physical with his children”. Pitt, 57, was later cleared of abuse allegations by the LA County Department of Children and Family Services. It was confirmed he had not committed child abuse when he got into an argument with Maddox on a private jet. The FBI investigate all airborne incidents.

This week it was claimed Jolie, 45, is now “prepared to provide proof of domestic abuse” that occurred during her marriage to the star, as part of the divorce trial.

The couple, who share Maddox, Zahara, 16, Pax, 17, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12, are warring over custody terms and financial arrangements.

Documents from Los Angeles County Superior Court’s Stanley Mosk Courthouse show the judge is seeking permission from the couple for Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne to testify as well.

During the divorce battle, Jolie has had more than one legal representative. In 2018, divorce attorney to the stars Laura Wasser stopped working for the actress when the case reportedly became too “venomous and nasty” for her.

Wasser, who has represented Johnny Depp, Kim Kardashian, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera and Ashton Kutcher, has earned a reputation for promoting compromise between warring couples and shared custody of children.

After Wasser, Jolie hired San Francisco-based Samantha DeJean, now the only lawyer, is representing her in the long-running custody dispute.

At the time of their split in 2016, Forbes estimated Pitt had earned £228million since the pair met in 2004, while Jolie had earned £172m.

It has been reported the couple had an “ironclad” prenuptial agreement in place protecting their individual fortunes.

The pair have a total of 12 properties, bought both before and after their two years of marriage. Pitt has seven, Jolie has two and the couple have three they bought together before they wed.

They purchased Chateau Miraval in south-eastern France in 2012, and got married on the estate in 2014.

The property includes a private lake, 35 rooms and even a moat.

Since their separation, Pitt has been linked to 27-year-old model Nicole Poturalski but the pair were said to have broken up in October last year.

He is currently single but there have been rumours of a reunion with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, whom he left for Jolie.

He has also been romantically linked to Mad Max actress Charlize Theron.

Jolie is reported to have been dating but no names have emerged.

Insiders claim she will not marry again and that she “resents” Pitt for turning their children’s lives “upside down”.

Last year the actress said: “I separated for the wellbeing of my family... I continue to focus on their healing.”
