By LOLITA BUNDE | 3 months ago
With spaces getting smaller and smaller we are in need of different even better interior pieces that will look both modern and classy.
With most of us spending more time in our homes, its only befitting to keep your home as warm as possible for your comfort.
If you have no idea where to start with your pieces, here are a few ideas on how you can make your home cosier and surprisingly on a budget:
- Invest in lampshades
Having more than one light source in a given space is visually appealing and putting the shades to their decorative purpose.
Lampshades are an overlooked component in most spaces but they are the easiest way of achieving a cosy lifestyle within your home. You can go with ceiling pendants especially if you have a small space.
Ceiling pendants tend to emphasize the height of the room, meaning they can easily make a small room look bigger because you will focus more on the length of the pendants and not the small size of the room.
You need to also have a working theme to make the lampshades flow more easily within your space. Did you know lampshades are mainly used in restaurants to create an ambience of cosiness?
- Plants are everything
Nature has its own way of creating a mood of relaxation, maybe from the fact that they purify the air. In the past plants were mainly used to decorate gardens and porches. Today, you can use plants as part of your interior décor.
Plants not only give your space life and but they also create an illusion of freshness. This doesn’t necessarily mean you move the whole of Congo forest into your home, plants are good but they can be overbearing.
This means plants can easily take over your space when unduly used. Plants need to be used to the bare minimum. An appropriately placed plant will not only make your home comfortable but will also act as interior décor.
- Throw in some throw-pillows
Throw pillows are an important component in creating that perfect environment for your comfort. They come in handy especially when you need to raise your legs up or sit more comfortably when watching movies or reading a novel.
Throw pillows play a big role in interior design, it is one of the latest modern trends. Most seats are adopting throw pillows as backrests. The more throw pillows you add to your space the cosier your home.
- Buy scented candles
Not only do candles add a modern touch to your space, but they also create warmth and a great level of cosiness. More so candles that burn with essence light up a room and leave it smelling heavenly.
Candles easily blend in with your theme and create an ambience of wholeness and comfort. Did you know that candles are a symbol of livable space?
- Have a couch blanket
Well, now that you are stuck home, you are probably binge watching and staying up late. The couch is comfortable but adding a blanket to it will make it extra comfortable, you could easily doze off and sleep comfortably.
Adding a couch blanket should be in line with your theme, a properly placed blanket might just act as interior décor and beautify your space.
