Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) chairman, Kiprono Kittony has called for the establishment of emergency fund to help businesses recover in case of terror attack.

The safety net fund will help cushion and restore financial stability of companies in case of such eventualities in dealing with damages and losses within the organization.

The chairman in his address to journalists in Nairobi, also urged foreign nations against issuing travel advisories to their nationals saying that this will hurt Kenya’s economy that relies on tourism and international investors.

Kiprono said, “To our development partners and friends, this is the time to stand with us. We should therefore not issue travel advisories as this could hurt our key sectors like tourism and ultimately the economy.”
