First-time CS angers Kenyans in diaspora, cancels meetings in the last minute

A decision by a Cabinet Secretary to snub planned meetings with Kenyans living in one of the countries in the West has angered the Diaspora community.

Sources have told Grapevine that the CS who was on an official visit to a foreign country for the first time since clinching the post, had scheduled several meetings with Kenyans.

The official, however, did not honour any of the appointments canceling them at the last minute, a matter that did not go down well with the people who expected to host top state officer.

An explanation by the aide of the CS that his boss was fatigued and needed to rest did not help things.

Some of the Kenyans in the country are now wondering how the official did not have time for them yet President Uhuru Kenyatta often has time for them whenever he visits.
