State House Comptroller Lawrence Lenayapa

Nairobi, Kenya: State House Comptroller Lawrence Lenayapa has refuted claims by Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter that he called police officers at the Gilgil Weighbridge to demand release of a lorry.

This comes following a video that has been widely circulated on social media showing the MP involved in an exchange with police officers. Keter and nominated URP MP Sunjeev Birdi, while demanding release of the lorries, claimed the police officers had refused to pick his calls and those from State House and appeared to threaten them.
