Initially, CORD’s anti-electoral commissioners campaigns were hinged on claims that the commission manipulated the electoral process in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013.
But CORD leader Raila Odinga’s bid to overturn Uhuru’s election did not bear fruit. The Supreme Court ruled against his petition on grounds that the evidence submitted was insufficient and weak.
