Deputy President William Ruto will never forget Gidi Gidi Maji Maji’s Unbwogable hit song.
Speaking during Jaguar’s Youth Empowerment launch in August 26, Ruto said he remembered Maji Maji from the Unbwogable hit song in 2002.
“Maji Maji should apologise for that song since it culminated into my political troubles. I was with Moi in KANU and we were kicked out of government thanks to that song, which was the opposition’s anthem,”he said jokingly.
Maji Maji stood up and apologised, but Ruto again jokingly, said the apology was not enough and he wanted it in writing.
“He surprised me because I didn’t expect him to remember or recognise me. All in all, he is a charming individual,”Maji Maji told Heads Up adding that he was still planning on writing the apology letter.
