You must remember Levi Kones. He is the guy who proposed to his spouse during the finals of the reality TV show, Slimpossible  three years ago. Now, Kones is not a happy man. His business partner and aspiring politician allegedly tried to seduce his wife behind his back.

Kones who was the runner-up in season 4 of Slimpossible proposed to Eunice Wangeci in front of the millions of the shows audience. The couple tied the knot on August 28, 2015.

Kones now accuses Kevin Okwara, the proprietor of Noble Hotel and Conference Centre, Alphax College and Corporate Media TV (CMTV) and an aspirant for the Turbo Constituency parliamentary seat, of eyeing his wife. The wife allegedly told Kones about his friend’s back-stabbing ways, leading to a verbal and social media war between the two.

Kones was then partnering with Okwara to setup CMTV, but his interest in Wangeci was exposed by Jemimah Chepkelach on the Facebook page, Turbo Constituency Discussion Forum, where Okwara is an administrator courtesy of his political ambition.

Kones asked Okwara to respect the family boundaries of his employees, a development that Kones himself acknowledged.

“I was bitter and wondered how a friend with whom I was partnering with in business, and who had not even paid me my four months’ dues for consultancy, could start hitting on my wife. My wife’s recording of the conversations between them was heart-rending,” said Kones.

On September 5, a bitter Kones posted on his Facebook, insinuating that somebody was crossing his marriage’s line.

“There is no boss anywhere, who should ever imagine his jurisdiction extends to an employee’s marriage. Never allow anyone to tell u about ur spouse, or ur spouse about you, asking them to keep it a secret, as if she made a vow, to them no matter who they are. Kwenda Huko,” read the post by Kones.

Wangeci followed on with a comment stating: “Let no man or woman ever lie to you that he/she can manage your spouse for you. When you are under blankets he/she does not come to manage you.”

Wangeci told The Nairobian that she was surprised when Okwara began hitting on her, asking her things she believed were a preserve of her marriage. “In one conference we were both attending, he kept asking me about my husband and if I was okay in the marriage. He was telling me how my husband was drinking too much and is reckless and that I should contact him in case I needed any help,” she said, adding that the advances by the political aspirant went  overboard. She says that since they were family friends and could not stop talking to him, she recorded a phone conversation to let her husband know what kind of a friend he had.

But Okwara disputes claims that he tried to seduce Wangeci. He says that he called her as a family friend to tell her about the alleged unbecoming behaviour of her husband.

“I have even his parents’ numbers, whom I have also contacted over Kones’ excessive drinking. I just called Wangeci to tell her the same, but she changed the whole story, claiming that she had recorded the conversation,” said Okwara. He added that Kones was utilising his Noble Hotel for accommodation and other services without pay as they were setting up CMTV.

“It was sad to find out that besides failing to pay me, he was making advances on my wife,” Kones, who hosts a programme on another vernacular TV station, said.

Regarding the allegations, Okwara responded that, “This is a ploy to taint my name since I made it public that I will vie for the Turbo parliamentary seat.” He threatened that he was considering suing Kones for falsely accusing and insulting him on the CMTV WhatsApp group in the presence of his employees.

But Kones maintains that if Okwara was genuine about advising him, he should have called him and or his friends and not his wife. He adds that he cannot tolerate anybody who disrespects his wife because his family comes first.
