Aspirants eyeing various political seats on the ODM ticket from Nyanza want the party's National Elections Board to use polling stations designated for the General Election.

Speaking during a peace meeting in Homa Bay, they said merging polling stations for the primaries was a recipe for chaos.

Economist Joshua Orero, who is contesting the Ndhiwa parliamentary seat, said holding nominations at stations designated by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission would level the playground for all aspirants.

Other parliamentary aspirants, Obonyo Mireri (Kabondo Kasipul), Michael Agwanda (Ndhiwa) and Obel Nyanja (Karachuonyo) said ODM should work to prevent chaos during the nominations. "We need peace during the primaries to enable all our voters to participate," said Mr Mireri.
