Controversial ‘doctor’ Mugo wa Wairimu says he will make MP Waihenya sweat in 2017

Controversial ‘doctor’ Mugo wa Wairimu who hit the headlines last year over alleged professional misconduct wants to run for MP.

Mugo intends to give Roysambu MP, Waihenya Ndirangu, a run for his money come 2017 elections.

The self-styled “ruthless go-getter” who “served as a mortuary attendant to supplement fees,” told The Nairobian that he has been in politics since the time he was pursuing his nursing degree at the University of Nairobi.

He says that Ndirangu has been “an absentee MP” who is yet to utter a single a single word in Parliament and “the Hansard bears me witness.” The alumnus of Dagoretti High School added that the ‘Rape Doctor’ tag he earned in 2015 will not deter him since “allegations remain just allegations until proven otherwise.”

“The woes I’m currently facing in court are part of the challenges I have to face for my fearless and tireless crusade.”

But candidates for political office are by law not required to be having pending court cases and other integrity issues hanging over their heads.

“President Kenyatta and Ruto ascended to office in spite of the grave allegations they were facing. A number of MPs currently have criminal cases but they still retain their seats. Article 49 of our Constitution guarantees bail to any accused person,” said wa Wairimu when confronted with the provisions in the Constitution.

On what he’s been up to since his clinics were closed, he said that he graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2000 when former President Moi — as Chancellor — conferred him a degree and with it the ‘power to read and do all that appertains to this degree’ and  “that’s what I’m still doing,” says wa Wairimu.” Anything else is hogwash. No further comment,” he said.

On his beef with Raila Odinga he stated that: “What I find repugnant is his divisive ideology for this country.”
