Kenya Revenue Authority opens iTax centre in Nakuru

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has commended the introduction of iTax, which it credits with enhancing tax collection.

Speaking during official opening of iTax support center in Nakuru, Alice Owour, KRA’s commissioner for domestic taxes said the process was launched in 2013 to ascertain authenticity of business operation process.

Owour said the system, which provides fully-integrated and automated solution for administration of domestic taxes, enables taxpayers to file returns and status inquiries online.

She said iTax simplifies tax process and makes it easy for taxpayers to comply, shorten time taken to extract date and information on revenue, and in dealing with KRA.
