Health Ministry launches nationwide polio vaccination

Kenya: The Ministry of Health Saturday launched a nationwide campaign against polio that will run for five days from August 1.

“Children below 5 years of age need to be protected from Polio and this is especially so following the outbreak that occurred in Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia in 2013/14 resulting in more than 200 cases,” said the ministry during the campaign launch in Gilgil, Nakuru County.
