Suspected ivory smuggler arrested in Naivasha

Police and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers in Naivasha have nabbed a suspect ferrying two pieces of ivory.

The officers recovered four rounds of ammunition. The suspect was nabbed at the Karagita matatu terminus following a tip off from members of the public.

A junior KWS officer who declined to be named said the suspect was arrested after a four-hour operation and had covered the two pieces with banana leaves.

Meanwhile, police in Naivasha have recovered the body of man dumped along the Moi South Lake Road. The man could have been murdered elsewhere.
